| Description: | 15 years after it's initial release Java has become arguably the most pervasive programming language on the planet. But how can somebody take their first steps into the Java world? In this first meeting for those with limited experience in Java, we will explore its similarities and differences with other general purpose languages, demonstrate its syntax, and do a focused overview of its object oriented features. Finally, we will discuss and take suggestions for future meetings. |
