GenAI for Java Developers – Taming the GenAI Beast with Prompts, RAG, and Embeddings

The time has come to craft *our* own breed of Java-flavored digital assistants – ones that can cater to our every whim and fancy, all while respecting the sanctity of our confidential data. Imagine having a chatbot that understands the intricacies of your business info, one that can converse fluently in the tongue of Java, without betraying the secrets of your enterprise data repositories.

But brace yourselves, my friends, for this odyssey will take us through the realms of prompt strategies, Retrieval Augmented Generation (or, as the cool kids call it, “RAG”) architecture, and the mystic realm of embedding vectors and vector stores. It’s like having a personal Gandalf to guide you through the treacherous paths of natural language processing, but without the beard or the staff (unless you’re into that sort of thing).

We are now entering the age of Java-powered GenAI.
